As soon as the indicator goes away, quickly disconnect then reconnect the seat belt at least three times. I have done it successfully on my 2014 Grand Cherokee. Unlock only the driver door with the first button press and unlock the passenger doors by pressing the button again, or unlock all the doors at once.
Heck, even the seatbelt extender trick is a bypass. It came to a point where the passenger would strap in the belt and they would have enough room on their lap for an additional 2 people in order for belt to feel secure.
